As we move out of Summer and into Fall (at least the kids are heading back to school), the Ukiah real estate market keeps chugging along. Single family homes are the largest part of the local real estate scene, which makes their numbers easiest to track. For the last few months, you probably recall that there has been a shortage of inventory  in the Ukiah market but the numbers are continuing to stay steady and may be signalling a new status quo. Closed Sales for the month of August were off a little bit but I think that is the result of the slow month we saw in July (I think everyone was on vacation). Looking at the 91 Active Listings 26 of them are in escrow under Contingent status. Prices are continuing to improve as demand has increased and interest rates are still low.
